Mechanism of external lubricant

For PVC systems, external lubricants are generally non-polar or low-polar organic compounds, so the surface tension is very small, and the compatibility with strong polar resins is also very small, and it is easily repelled by strong polar resins. 

At the interface of the system, a thin outer lubricating film is formed. It has poor compatibility with polymers and easily migrates from the melt to the outside, so it can form a lubricating thin layer at the interface between the plastic melt and the metal.
